This may seem like something strange to talk about on a website, however, I think the public toilets in Spain are worth mentioning. Everywhere we went - restaurants, roadside stops, shops, etc. - the public facilities were immaculate. And in most places, the facilities were a series of individual rooms, with full walls and full doors - and with a light switch in each room. The photo here is typical of what we saw.
