Palacio Real - Royal Palace
It is almost impossible to describe how large, opulent and beautiful this palace is. It was constructed between 1738 and 1755 and became the residence of Carlos III in 1764. Inhabited until 1941, the palace is now only used by the Royal family for state occasions.
More Palacio Real - Royal Palace
I have read somewhere that there are 3,000 rooms, 870 windows, 240 balconies and 44 sets of stairs. Only about 30 rooms are open to the public. The throne room alone (2nd row, 3rd image from left) is worth the trip.
